Twitter is a social networking service where users post and interact with messages known as “tweets”. The Twitter chat app for Zoom allows you to connect your organization’s Twitter account, allowing you to tweet and search for tweets from your Zoom chat channels.

Prerequisite
- Free or Paid Zoom Account
- A Twitter account
- Pre-approval of the Twitter Chatbot in the Zoom Marketplace
Note: If the app is not pre-approved, please contact your Zoom admin.
Installation and Configuration
Installing from the Zoom Marketplace
- Login to your Zoom account and navigate to the Zoom Marketplace.
- Search for Twitter and click the app.
- If the app is not pre-approved, please contact your Zoom admin to approve this app for your account.
- Click Install, confirm the permissions the app requires and choose Allow.
- You will be redirected to a Twitter permissions page:

The Twitter chatbot supports the following commands:
Zoom Twitter Integration
- Help: Type /twitter help to receive a list of all the commands for the Twitter chatbot.
- Send a Tweet: Type /twitter tweet (tweet to send) to send a tweet.
- Search Tweets: Type /twitter search (what you want to search for) to search for tweets by keyboard.
- Start a Zoom meeting: Type /twitter meet to start a Zoom meeting.
Uninstalling the Twitter Chatbot
- Login to your Zoom account and navigate to the Zoom Marketplace.
- Search for Twitter and click the app or navigate to your installed apps via Manage > Installed Apps.
- Click Uninstall next to Twitter.
- Confirm the dialogue and click Uninstall.
Data Security
When you install an application, you allow the 3rd party service to receive certain information from your Zoom account. Below is some clarification on data security information:
- What data does this chatbot have access to?
- This chatbot can view all user information (id, first name, last name, email, user type, PMI, time zone, department, last login time, phone number, and meeting settings), account information (account id, owner, owner email, and number of licenses), view and manage all user meetings (list all past and current meetings and meeting settings, webinar registrants, past meeting participants, and webinar polls).
- This chatbot has access to admin-level read/write data for Twitter.
- What permissions will this chatbot be granted on Twitter?
- See Tweets from your timeline (including protected Tweets) as well as your Lists and collections.
- See your Twitter profile information and account settings.
- See accounts you follow, mute, and block.
- Follow and unfollow accounts for you.
- Update your profile and account settings.
- Post and delete Tweets for you, and engage with Tweets posted by others (Like, un-Like, or reply to a Tweet, Retweet, etc.) for you.
- Create, manage, and delete Lists and collections for you.
- Mute, block, and report accounts for you.
- Send Direct Messages for you and read, manage, and delete your Direct Messages.
