Technici4n/Applied-Energistics-2. Applied Energistics 2 is a mod created by AlgorithmX2 designed to compactly store items in a digital network called Matter Energy, or ME (pronounced Emm-Eee). It is the new and overhauled version of the original Applied Energistics mod.

Mod Applied Energistics – adds material energy, automation of crafting, smelting, and crushing of ores, a system for storing items in the system, this is a large and popular industrial mod for Minecraft.

The main idea of the mod is the technology of converting real objects, resources into material energy (ME), thanks to this technology you can load all the resources into the system and say goodbye to chests and long searches for components for crafting. Uploading resources and items to the network gives many advantages, you can access your storage from anywhere, automatically shorten, collect and replenish the inventory of various devices. As well as a full-fledged industrial mod – Applied Energistics adds a lot of related items, mechanisms, materials.

Ores. 1. Quartz ore – Occurs at an altitude of 17 to 69 heights. 2. Materials . 1. Quartz crystal – used to make converting matrices and molecular collector components. 2. Quartz dust – used to create amethyst dust. 3. Nether Quartz Dust – used to create amethyst dust. 4. Amethyst Dust – Used to create converting matrices and ME Cable. 5. Amethyst crystal – used to create items of the wireless ME network. 6. Violet pearl

– used to create items of the wireless ME network. 7. Silicon – Used only when crafting processors. 8. Converting Matrix – used to create mechanisms. 9. Energy Cell – used to create items that consume energy. 10. Wireless receiver – used to create items of the wireless ME network. 3. Tools. 1. Quartz instruments are identical to those of iron. 2. Quartz knife – used to create processor mechanisms. 3. Quartz key – like a key from

Thermal Expansion and BuildCraft. 4. Vibration catalyst – heats blocks, ores into ingots and, sand into glass, ice into water, ores into ingots, etc. 5. Entropy accelerator – cools blocks, lava to obsidian, stone to cobble, water to ice, etc. 6. Material cannon – a weapon that shoots nuggets and balls of matter. 7. Hand Crusher – Like IC2 crusher, but does not use energy. Instead, you need to turn the handle. 8. Wooden handle – needed to operate the hand crusher. The rest is shorter in the wiki, look.

Energy Usage Information

ME uses Power to run, to idle, to add items to the system or to perform automation tasks. A very small network usually runs on around 6-8 eu/t, 240 - 320 j/t or 2.4 mj/t; more complicated systems that use automation and span larger areas can use considerially more power, so plan your systems wisely to try and conserve power if you need to.

Supplying Power to Your Network

Power is usually supplied via the ME Controller however it can also be supplied at a ME Power Relay, The Power relay can accept external power just like the controller can, or it can allow one AE Network to leech power from another connected ME Network.

Units from power sources

Power is supplied to ME using either EU from IndustrialCraft2, BuildCraft MJ or Joules from Universal Electricity. Each EU is worth 2 Units, each MJ is worth 5 Units, and 20 UE Joules are worth 1 Unit.

Idle Usage Break down By Block

BlockPower Usage

Other Uses of Power

4k Storage Cell1.0 unit / t
16k Storage Cell1.5 unit / t

Backup Power

An important thing to realize about ME, is that if your power dies you will be unable to access your storage cells in your ME Drive or ME Chest so make sure you either have tools stored externally, or plan your network to have a 'low power mode' where you can disable the power intensive portions of your ME Networks, and have a backup generator that can run on coal or other options so you can get access to your storage even if a power crisis occurs in your base. A low power mode can be achieved with a few levers and some ME Dark Cable or if your up for it, a complicated setup using more interesting redstone, network planning.
