How to install Ansys 20 R2 on your PC

Note: This is a teaching license and should be used only for demonstration and classroom instructional purposes. It cannot be used for research.

  1. Ansys provides free student software products perfect for work done outside the classroom, such as homework, capstone projects, student competitions and more. Our renewable products can be downloaded by students across the globe. Ansys Student products can be installed on any supported MS Windows 64-bit machine.
  2. ANSYS Student is an introductory software package for engineering students who are interested in learning the fundamentals of simulation while gaining exposure to our state-of-the-art ANSYS Workbench simulation workflow, pre-processing, post-processing and solver products.

How to install Ansys Student 2020 R2 on your PC

1. To install the student version of Ansys 2020 R2, you must first download it by visiting http://www.ansys.com/products/academic/ansys-student

2. Scroll down and click on “ANSYS Student”

3. After clicking ANSYS student, a downloadable version of ANSYS STUDENT 2020 R2 should appear below. Click the download button. A 'terms of use' pop up will appear. Click “Agree” to continue the download. The download may take a while, and will appear as an .msi file.

ANSYS Student is a free introductory simulation software package for engineering students who are interested in learning simulation and analysis.

4.Select the downloaded file to open.

5. Select 'next'

6. Read and accept the license agreement, select 'next'

7. Click the 'next' button to accept the default installation.

8. Select 'Install' and wait for the program to install.

9. Select 'Finish' to complete the installation. The ANSYS Student software is now installed.

Reboot your machine and then run the ANSYS Student product from your Start menu by selecting Workbench

How to install Ansys Student 2020 R2 on your PC
